TMF: P/E is now 32- what you think?
I’m not going to try to predict a bottom, as I think a potential “bottom” or “top” must reflect any new news or announcements, which may come in the weeks ahead. With Apple, 1 intern analyst mentions iPod supply chains, and everyone gets excited or panics. So who knows which way the tail will wag in the weeks ahead.

TMF: Apple Phone? Yea or Nay? My Idea… / Apple (AAPL)
The current hot rumor making the rounds is an Apple phone. I think this article at Macrumors sums up the current state of affairs:
“The chatter about the product is all over the food chain,” says Bill Shope, Chan’s colleague in New York who follows Apple. He believes Apple will likely introduce a cellphone by the fourth quarter of this year.
The other big rumor is of a full-screen iPod, with touchscreen interface. We have seen those stories of an Apple patent with a ‘virtual scroll wheel’ that appears where a user touches the screen.
Finally, we have had some rumors of an Apple tablet device as well. Although IIRC, these have mostly been confined to patents for potential/possible products rather than actual rumors of product development.
By themselves, all 3 rumors are notable but not earth-shaking IMO. Apple cellphone/smartphone? Where can they really take this? I’m not saying current cell phones are perfect, but what kind of product would be worth such an enormous undertaking by Apple?

TMF: No longer a high-flyer?
I am wondering right now if AAPL has finally ended its days as a high-flyer, and is now hopefully entering a phase as a solid growth stock. This is not a criticism of Apple in any way, just a reflection of where its products currently stand in the marketplace.
